Lately I've been eying up this wonderful piece of gear. The Korg Zero 4.

Why ? It's the one I like the most from this list: http://www.native-instruments.com/in...hcertified&L=1
It 's a pretty old model it apparently doesn't even support windows 7 (and maybe even vista) so that should tell you more then enough about it's age. Nevertheless I think it's a solid piece of kit.
But I've read somewhere (most of it on r/DJs) that it's A TRUE PAIN IN THE ASS to set up and frequently has connection problems even with mac. And even worse that you could get a hissing sound right out of the box.
Some huge problems if you ask me.
I can pick one up for around €600, awesome price if you ask me.
Anybody can shed some more light on this ? Thanks. Search on DJTT wasn't that helpful.

Traktor Pro 2
Idk what's going on with my setup but I have to admit it's making me feel a little dumb. I bought some equipment while I was recently deployed and now trying to hook it up, it's kicking my ass. I have TSP 2 running on my macbook pro, hooked up to a korg zero4 by Firewire, running out to 2 Rokit rp5's by XLR cables. no matter what settings i change in Traktor i can not get any sound out of the speakers, at this point i'd be happy if i could just play my damn music... I can get it so the levels light up for channel 1 on the Korg but no matter how high I turn the volume up, no sound... ANY help or even idiot proof checklists would be appreciated.
Korg Zero 4 Traktor Scratch Pro 2
With the help of Jayo over at Pro DJ Forums, I was able to get the send effects working properly which turned the Zero4/TS partnership from good to bloody brilliant. Here's what I've been able to achieve with a combination of Zero4 and Traktor Scratch effects. Firstly, you can apply a Zero4 channel effect to the signal coming into Traktor Scratch.
