  • Hey all, i was wondering if anyone can help me, for the past few months my load bar in traktor has been getting rather high, and sound starts crackling when I open any other programs, the load bar is extremely high and clipping when i have my kontrol S4 connected. Anyone have any suggestions/tips/explanation on what to do and why it has suddenly started doing this after almost a year of working fine.

Also, I have all the latest drivers/software installed.

Replies would be greatly appreciated! thanks.

open Traktor, then open the S4 utility control panel program

Check to see what ur sample rate is set to…you want to go around 192 bits and if need be increase your USB buffer to 1 or 2 ms.

Are you using Traktor 2.5? It had performance issues with key locking, you could disable it. Even better, upgrade to 2.5.1 or 2.6. Anyway, if latest drivers I would indeed increase the buffer rate or otherwise check if something is draining the CPU cycles such as a slower drive or lack of VM paging space on the hard disk. Or then 2.6 has more features so it taxes the CPU more.
